Established in 1891, Epsom Cycling Club is one of the oldest cycling clubs in the UK with a great pedigree and past.

The Club is based in Epsom, a town in Surrey, circa 15 miles south west of London. The town lies in the valley of Epsom Downs close to Box Hill (forever associated with the London 2012 Olympic cycling road race) and the Surrey Hills, an area of outstanding beauty and a great place to ride.

Club Activities

Today the Club has over 100 members taking part in a range of cycling activities including sportives, time trials, road racing and organised social rides.

During the summer season, Epsom CC organises weekly time trials on local courses (Tuesday evenings) and 1-2 hour organised rides through Surrey’s amazing cycling countryside catering for all abilities (Thursday evenings). Throughout the year, Epsom CC organises a Sunday morning club ride. Check out the Events Calendar for more details of Epsom CC’s club races and you can read more details on our weekly rides programme by clicking here.

The racing season runs from February to November, where most members will be time trialling, riding sportives or road racing. You will have to be a member of a club in order to participate in a time trial, though you could “Come and see” what it is like to try it in which case you should contact Brian Hill. Members also do Kent Cycle Racing League (SERRL) road racing events, from March to end of September.
