After last weeks big turn out it was a much more manageable number for Peter to time. The evening was overcast but stayed dry after just a little dampness in the air an hour on so before for the event. With a light wind coming from the south west it was similar to last Tuesday, but just a touch warmer.
Edmund Bradbury was the winner for the third week running, over a minute clear of Stephen Emmerson who was on his road bike. Paul Haywood did his best time for a couple of seasons…

A big turn out for the event on a very chilly evening with a north easterly wind. although not as strong as earlier in the day, it still made for a tough ride back from the turn. With the wind not helping so much on the way out and coming across the dual carriageway on the return most rides were slower than last Tuesday.

A change of course because of roadworks from the A264 at Horsham to the sporting course starting and finishing at Oakwood Hill.
Not a very good turn out, maybe because it was too late in the day, especially if riders had other things to do during the morning with their families. It was a bright and sunny morning, but yet another day with a chilly northerly wind, this making the 2 miles uphill on the A29 to Ockley very hard going.

It was a clear evening after a sunny day, but much cooler than in recent days with a light chilly breeze from the north east.
Going by the times it wasn't a bad evening with George Brent from Addiscombe CC the fastest, doing a personal best ride. Julian Downing had his first Club Event win for three years & Phil Turner after a year away from our events took the handicap award.

Overall we had 106 entries with only a few DNS - this meant we had about 90 competitors split into the two races with hotly contested bunch finishes to be sorted out by the timing chip transponders.

Liquigas-Cannondale rider Elia Viviani won the Giro della Provincia di Reggio Calabria, claiming both stages on the two-day race.
