A cold overcast morning about seven degrees, but the cold north east wind made it feel much colder. Riders flew out to the turn at Clark's Green then found it a shock with a very tough ride back to the finish. There were still some very good rides considering the conditions.
Paul Deen was the winner of our early season event with Pete Lloyd the runner up also taking the handicap award just 40 seconds away from his personal best time done on this course last September.
From the five Private Time Trials, Simon McNamara did the fastest ride of the day and Mel Wasley was the fastest women still getting use to her new time trial bike. Last week she won the women's £170 prize in the ESRC hardriders event where Alice Lethbridge was a close second. It's good to see our club's 2013 & 2015 Women’s Best All-Rounder's doing so well with their new club's.
Thanks to Tony Rogers for timing the event & Peter Cooke for producing the result. Also to Malcolm Pymm for putting out the signs & taking the excellent photos which are now on the website.
