Result of Club 10 mile event 20th April on G10/41 at Kingsfold

The event was changed from G10/42 because of a long stretch of cones on the A24 north bound carriageway. Fortunately because there have been a number of cancelled events other seasons, Paul Deen had applied for an alternative course, just in case. Because of confusion over two versions of course details, unfortunately the event was approximately a quarter of a mile long. Thanks to Peter Cooke for timing and producing the result and to Lionel Barden for helping him at the finish. Also to Chis Rosam for putting out the warning signs around the course. The evening was bright and dry with a light south easterly wind. Not a bad direction on this course, help along the A24 Capel Bypass, then sheltered back along the A29.There was another good turn out, with a few riders not starting because of the event being moved further away. Paul Deen did the fastest time with Paul Haywood pleased, at closing the gap on Paul, especially as he had gear trouble after fitting new tribars. The handicap winner was Tony King and runner up was Matt McConnell, both improving on their first time trials in our previous event. Brian
